Dr. Bennett has had a distinguished career as an
international scholar, teacher, author, broadcaster and singer and is regarded widely as Scotland's foremost authority on Folklore.
A former member of the School of Scottish Studies at
Edinburgh University: author of several books on folklore:
lecturer on a wide variety of topics: involved in numerous TV documentaries and programmes on Scottish Customs: singer of Scots and Gaelic songs and a member of the Scottish
