The Society is currently looking forward to 2013 when we will celebrate our centenary.  Fortuitously the exact anniversary of the first meeting coincides with our regular meeting date in March 2013.


Several ideas are being considered.

  1. We hope to replicate some of the early subjects.
  2. Negotiations are taking place with the Museum Service over a possible display about the Society.
  3. The post war revival of the Society is also being studied.

If anyone has any photographs or other information relating to Society activities in the  early years  -  1913-20 or the 2-3 years after the post war revival in 1967,  then the ad-hoc committee would be pleased to have details.  Initial contact should be made through the Secretary.
